If you must have your day in court, make it a good day

When are deadly DUI accidents most likely?

You know there are a lot of drunk driving accidents that result in fatalities every day. Maybe you have seen the statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), which indicate that there are roughly 22 deadly DUI accidents daily.

It’s a stunning total, but how do you avoid these wrecks? Aside from not drinking and driving yourself, how can you make sure that you do not get involved in a crash with another drunk driver?

There is no way to guarantee that this will not happen. There is always a risk. However, you can lower that risk. One step you can take is to understand when deadly DUI crashes happen most often and to stay off of the roads at those times.

There are three main spikes. The first one happens at 3:00 p.m. Researchers attribute this to people who drink during lunch.

The second spike is around 7:00 p.m. The reason for this, they speculate, is that many establishments serve low-priced drinks during Happy Hour. This ends before or at 7:00 p.m. in most places, so people who do not want to pay more for their drinks start heading home.

As you may have guessed, the third and most drastic spike is from 2:00 to 3:00 a.m. Many bars close around this time, so those who have been drinking heavily all night hit the road at the same time.

Has a crash with a drunk driver taken the life of a loved one? If so, make sure that you understand all of the legal options you have to seek compensation.

He actually persuaded me not to settle because he believed that we had a great case. So we took the case to trial and he fought like crazy for me. And we won! It was a really good experience —well, as much as it can be for a lawsuit — and I’m very happy I went with them. I’ve been really blessed to have him as my attorney, so I recommend him whenever I can.”
