Wrongful Death Cases
Perhaps the most difficult of cases in which to evaluate damages are wrongful death lawsuits. Requesting compensation for – and putting a dollar value on – the loss of a loved one is extremely challenging.
Still, survivors of those lost to wrongful death are entitled to compensation for the financial support, household service, comfort, companionship and care they have lost.
We advocate for heirs, family members and survivors after any accidental death due to a negligence or wrongdoing, including:
- Medical malpractice involving surgical errors, birth injuries, emergency room mistakes or medication errors
- Elder abuse or nursing home neglect that leads to death due to infection, malnutrition or assault
- Dangerous drugs or fatal drug interactions involving statins (cholesterol-lowering drugs), antidepressants or any other prescription medication
- Defective products such as home appliances, power tools, and industrial or construction equipment]
- Plane crashes due to pilot error, poor maintenance or faulty parts
- Train wrecks because of failure to sound horns, crossing/warning issues, or where railroad employees are killed
- Auto accidents involving drunk drivers, commercial trucks, motorcycles, bicycles or pedestrians
- Bad faith insurance claim denials, such as denied health care claims, that contributed to the death of someone dear to you
